Trikers will meander along the sidewalks and trails of the National Mall over a 2 hour time period, taking in all of the most popular Monuments and Memorials. Our start and endpoint is a stone’s throw away from the Jefferson Memorial, easily accessed by public transport. Restrooms and refreshments are available at many points along the route, and many stops for photo-opportunities will be made. ​We will have time to stop and take in the scale of the Lincoln Memorial, The majestic Capitol, slide past the magnificent World War 2 Memorial, reflecting pool, visit the 30 ft tall granite carved statue of Martin Luther King, Jr , plus many more, all the while taking in the grand architecture of the many museums overlooking The Mall. ​The Washington DC Mall is about 1 mile in length, 400 feet wide, comprising 12 Smithsonian Institution museums and 11 different memorials. This represents a whole lot of walking. Perfect, if you’re young, fit, and able. Recumbent trikes are extremely comfortable, stable, and easy to pedal and operate, making a full lap of the entire Mall well within the capabilities of even the not so active or young.
