Service Description

Starting a mere twenty-minute drive from Georgetown, we leave from Carderock, a recreation area on the banks of the Potomac River. Our Destination: Great Falls national park, a leisurely 4 miles cruise from our starting point. The tree-lined Chesapeake and Ohio canal dirt towpath offers us a tranquil nature-filled cruise towards the great falls visitor center where we will view the rapids from a pedestrian bridge and take in the historic barge, lock houses, and working wooden locks. The bird life and nature is abundant on this route and the ride is fun and engaging. Bring along a small picnic, your binoculars, and/or camera.
